Where Ridge Manor is
Ridge Manor sits in eastern Hernando County, right where I-75 meets SR 50. That location is its biggest selling point:
- Brooksville, the county seat, is a short drive west on SR 50.
- Dade City is just to the south-east.
- Tampa is roughly an hour south on I-75, traffic depending.
- Orlando is reachable to the east via SR 50.
If you commute to Tampa or the Wesley Chapel area, you get country living without being cut off.
What it's like living here
Ridge Manor is quiet and spread out. Expect bigger lots, lots of trees, and neighbors who wave. If you like the outdoors, the Withlacoochee State Forest and the Withlacoochee State Trail are close by for hiking, biking, horseback riding and paddling. It's a good fit for folks who want space for a boat, a workshop, or just some peace and quiet.
The tradeoff is that you'll drive for most shopping and services. Most people do their bigger errands in Brooksville, Dade City or Wesley Chapel.
Tips for a smoother move
- Visit in summer before you commit. Florida heat and afternoon storms are part of life here. Better to know what you're signing up for.
